Monster Prom - Hilarious and Vulgar Dating Sim

I bought a new game last night called Monster Prom, it's on Steam.   I'll be honest, a combination because it sounded fun and because I was told and the game preview showed that the player characters could choose their pronouns which included They/Them pronouns.   I want to support games like these that validate nonbinary people and their pronouns, so I tend to be more enthusiastic about buying these games.   Kudos to the developers.  <3

The game is hilarious and so far has been super fun! It's basically a dating sim, but not anything like a visual novel or otome.  There's not really plot development, but with the way you play the game it's fine.  In a way, it reminds me vaguely of a board game.  You choose between four preset characters that you can choose the name and pronouns for.   You get so many turns/weeks to improve your stats and build up a relationship with your crush before prom, then you ask them to prom!  I've played through four times and been rejected three times.  I'll probably look at some tutorials for the next play through to get a better idea of how to woo the characters.

The dialogue is funny, ironic, and often vulgar.  Lots of sexual dialogue and discussion of drugs, alcohol and violence (they're monsters).  Definitely a mature content game.  I couldn't help myself but to take tons of screenshots because of how much of the dialogue was so funny I wanted to share it.

I have not decided a favorite character yet, but I do find Damien and Polly's dialogue to be some of the most hilarious.  The werewolf Scott is a bit to dumb for my tastes.

I'm not even sure what my favorite dialogue has been, there is soooooo much good stuff.  Dragon dildos?  OMFG.  Those are a thing you know btw, and I wonder if this is actually a reference to the company that makes those.

There is even a multiplayer and online option for the game so you can play with your friends!  I think this is the first dating time I have encountered that is multiplayer.  I have not tried playing online or on multiplayer yet, but I think it's cool that it's an option!

There's an expansion available with 2 additional characters, it's not expensive, but I am hoping maybe I can nab it on sale.
