Wrabel - The Village

I will start with a content warning the music video I am discussing starts with a young trans teen putting on a binder.  The video displays images of an aggressive abusively unsupportive family.

I was just listening to random music videos as they came onto an automatically generated youtube playlist when this song came on.  I was playing a game on my phone so I have the youtube tab open and immediately saw out of the corner of my eye what appeared to be someone putting on a binder in the video. I started the video over.  Watching it with my full attention.

Before the video was over, I was crying.  I probably played it at least three more times.  The video hits hard and follows the lyrics.  I'll include the lyrics below:

I have never heard of the artist Wrabel so I looked more into it.  The video came in 2017 right after Trump's announcement taking away transgender rights including bathroom rights and military.  It was released in support of the trans community.  The video ends with the text, Trans rights are human rights.

Kind of reminiscent of some of the representation and support in Logic's video 1-800-273-8255.
It's valued.
